Menzies Aviation, the global leader in aviation services, has officially opened its state-of-the-art cargo facility at Maputo International Airport (MPM). This strategic move expands Menzies’ footprint in East Africa, positioning the company to capitalize on the region’s growing air cargo market.

The new facility, equipped with cutting-edge technology and high-end amenities, is designed to deliver efficient, safe, and high-quality cargo handling services to airlines. Launch customers Airlink and Qatar Airways are already benefiting from the enhanced capabilities offered by the warehouse.

At the ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, September 5th, AlAnood AlSuwaidi, Menzies’ Senior Vice President Cargo (MEAA), expressed her enthusiasm for this significant milestone. “We’re thrilled to inaugurate our new cargo warehouse in Mozambique,” she stated. “This facility will empower us to provide exceptional services to our airline customers while contributing to the development of East Africa’s air cargo sector.”

The opening of the cargo warehouse marks another pivotal step in Menzies’ ambitious expansion strategy. The company has been operating at Maputo International Airport since 2018, offering a range of services including passenger lounges, ground handling, and now cargo handling.

The new facility aligns with Menzies’ commitment to delivering sustainable and efficient aviation services. By investing in modern infrastructure and technology, the company aims to reduce its environmental footprint while enhancing its operational efficiency.

As the leading service partner to the world’s airports and airlines, Menzies Aviation is dedicated to providing exceptional customer service and supporting the growth of the aviation industry. With its expanded presence in Mozambique, the company is well-positioned to meet the evolving needs of its customers and contribute to the economic development of the region.
